It's what Ryan Sloan values most. Control of his business, control of his secrets, control of his days and nights. With the way his life spiraled in the past, he needs to stay in charge of his present.
Giving up control...
It's what Sophie Winston craves. After a wildly successful career, she's stepped away from the business world and is now focused on her work as her city's most noted philanthropist. When she meets Ryan Sloan, the chemistry is scorching, and utterly undeniable. Their desire for each other runs red hot. He wants everything she's willing to give him in bed, and she wants him to take her to new heights as only he can.
Soon, he has to have more. All of her -- heart, mind and body.
The only trouble is, he hasn't been honest about how he met her and the dangerous connection he has to her brother. When the truth is revealed, he'll have to give more of himself than he's bargained for or risk losing the only woman he's ever let into his heart.

3 Stars

Sinful Desire picks up approximately where Sweet Sinful Nights left off, but it follows a new couple. This time it’s Shannon’s brother, Ryan, and the sister of the cop investigating their mother, Sophie. Ryan is the only one of his siblings who is holding onto hope that their mother is innocent of murder for hire. To say that this affects his relationships with other people would be an understatement. At least until he meets Sophie and finds himself opening up about what happened. Meanwhile Sophie is just looking for a man who can give her what she wants in the bedroom.

I did like Sinful Desire better than the first book. I loved how Ryan and Sophie jump right into sex! They know what they want and aren’t afraid to say it! No one is playing games here. I also just loved Sophie in general. Particularly her closet! I know she was wearing Pinup Girl Clothing in a few chapters, because I’m 99% certain I own the dress she was wearing in the opening chapter (Black Cherry Heidi)! She’s also super smart, a savvy business woman, and kind of kinky!

Sinful Desire also goes deeper into the suspense subplot. Ryan has been holding on to a secret for his mother for eighteen years. Now that her case is being reopened, he’s struggling with keeping his promise. Plus, it’s obvious that some new evidence must have been discovered for the case to be reopened. Does this mean his mother is innocent? I had to know! What is she not telling them?! But that ending? I knew it! But how?! I must find out!

The only thing that I didn’t like about Sinful Desire was the fight. It made zero sense. In the beginning I assumed that Sophie would find out that her brother is working on Ryan’s mother’s case and think that he’s using her to get information. Well, that’s not what happens. She just gets pissed that after three days of mind blowing sex, Ryan doesn’t tell her about his mother. Um, excuse you? A few rounds of sex does not entitle you to someone’s private family matters.

In the end, I did like Sinful Desires a lot. But it’s the mystery surrounding the Sloan family and what really happened eighteen years ago that’s keeping me hooked. The romance was good, but I have to know what their mom was involved in!
