Quanta Rewind is another fast, fun, and exciting addition to this series! Quanta, Altair, and the other Shadow Ravens are bunkered up and trying to figure out their next move. They need to rescue their friends, which includes Tair’s sister, but Quanta is having trouble seeing a future where that happens and they all survive. But time is running out, so Quanta and Company need to pull a plan together fast. Of course, this means trying out different things, learning along the way, and Quanta rewinding them when things go deadly wrong.
Series: The Shadow Ravens
Quanta Reset picks up right where Quanta left off. Although, I will admit that I didn’t immediately remember where we left off. There are plenty of reminders though, so I settled back into this world within a few chapters. Quanta and Altair are working with the Shadow Ravens, but they also have to worry about the fact that Quanta’s powers are going a little haywire. This could mean very, very bad things for her if they can’t figure out what’s causing it or how to stop it. Meanwhile, one of Quanta’s clones is out and about and they have to stop her! It’s dangerous enough having one person who can manipulate time running around, but add in a second who’s under the control of a mad scientist? Disaster.
Quanta was kind of crazy! I totally did not expect most of that to go down. For the past ten years, Quanta has been a prisoner and lab rat. She’s a Red Helix with the very rare gift of clairvoyance. She can see the past and future after glimpsing the “timeghost” of a person, place, or thing. This makes her a very powerful asset to those who wish to take down the Shadow Ravens, as she spent ten years with them as well. Too bad that Quanta isn’t going to give up information that easily, but once a new guy appears in the lab, her powers take an interesting (and deadly) turn.
Cipher is an exciting, Sci-Fi, New Adult Romance set in the distant future starring a female hacker! Cipher, as the gaming community knows her, doesn’t get close to people. Physically she can’t because of her power to attract and dispel electricity (she’s fried her fair share of computers). But she’s also been on the run since she was eight years old because her uncle and the Black Helixes are after her. At birth, Cipher was marked as a Red Helix, meaning she has unstable DNA and was destined for death. She avoided that fate until she killed a man, revealing her unusual ability. Twelve years later, she’s still hiding out, but someone else is looking for her.
